Welcome! In my work with individuals, couples, and families, I take a collaborative approach with my clients to help best meet their own unique needs. Clients have described me as warm, engaging, and compassionate - with an ability to quickly put them at ease. Before going into private practice, I worked with a wide array of clients at various agencies including outpatient mental health clinics, county counseling programs, and an agency with its foundation in the expressive arts. I have a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and another Masters in Theatre Education. I enjoy finding creative solutions to problems.
My specialization in infertility and perinatal loss is enhanced by both my personal and professional experiences with the challenges of family building and issues of loss. As a therapist, I bring a mix of of compassion, hope, and a clear therapeutic approach for helping clients on their own journeys.
Creative approaches include: Role Playing, Conflict-Resolution, Family Tableus, and incorporating Music and Art to process feelings and explore solutions. Special breathing and relaxation techniques are also incorporated into our work together. I am a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
